Lanesborough Planning Board Tables Self-Storage Review, Seeks More Landscaping Details

LANESBOROUGH — August 18, 2025 — Lanesborough Planning Board tables self-storage facility review at former Skyline Country Club site, approves two lot-line plans. The board voted unanimously at its August 18 meeting to continue a site plan review for MCP Properties, which proposes four metal storage buildings with up to 95 units on the business-zoned front portion of 405 South Main Street on Route 7, to its September 15 meeting. Civil engineer Jim Scalise of SK Design Group told the board the facility would generate roughly 24 average daily vehicle trips, have no on-site employees or utilities in the units, and drain through an engineered underground stormwater system also headed to the Conservation Commission for review. The board asked for additional plantings along the southern property line near an abutting residence before taking a final vote. In separate unanimous actions, the board endorsed ANR plans for a revised lake-frontage lot division on Catherine Street involving the Pat Family Trust and a cross-road lot swap between owners Robichaud and Todd Gould on Glassworks Road.
